Making a reservation on Allegiant with an in-cabin dog

This is just a quick post to highlight a recent change in Allegiant’s pet policy. In another post, I’ve mentioned the problem you sometimes run into when you make your plane reservation on-line: If you’re not able to add your pet to your reservation on-line (and most airlines don’t yet allow you to do that), you run the risk of calling to add your pet to your reservation and learning that all the spaces for in-cabin pets on your flight are already taken.… Read the rest

Reader’s report: Which seat works best with an in-cabin dog? [US Airways partner flights on CRJ-200 and CRJ-900 aircraft]

Reader Kristen recently traveled on two regional US Airways flights (an Air Wisconsin partner flight and a Piedmont Air partner flight). Which seat works best with an in-cabin dog? [American 737 -800]

I hardly ever fly on American, so I was pleased to find myself flying from Seattle to Dallas and back recently on a couple of American’s 737 (-800 series) planes. I was in Economy class, but the under-seat spaces in First Class looked the same (keep in mind, though, that I only had brief chances to glance, from walking height, at the First Class spaces).… Read the rest
