Chloe’s Clicks: This week’s best dog travel links

“This week” is a bit of a fiction, I know, given that the oldest link in here is dated January 25, but a more accurate headline wouldn’t be nearly so catchy. The link is certainly attention-grabbing: Australia turns out to be darned pet-unfriendly in many ways, but the Sunshine Coast Daily reports that the Sunshine Coast Council (representing a large urban area north of Brisbane) recently decided to let local café owners choose whether to allow dogs to join diners in outdoor dining areas.… Read the rest

Another raw dog food that travels well

You know from past posts that Chloe is a picky eater, but she’s mildly fond of frozen raw dog food (which is a challenge to travel with) and of ZiwiPeak’s air-dried raw food (which travels well). She toyed briefly with Stella & Chewy’s freeze-dried raw food, but completely rejected Honest Kitchen’s entire line of dehydrated raw food.… Read the rest

Chloe’s Clicks: Dog travel links we liked this week

This week’s Chloe’s Clicks is an assortment of miscellaneous items, so we’ll just bounce from one to the other and not hope for a theme. Let’s start in lovely Santa Cruz, CA. Last week I told you that the city’s downtown merchants were about to vote for/against lifting a long-standing dog ban, and this week the Santa Cruz Sentinel reported that the vote went in favor of lifting the ban, with caveats: There will be a six-month trial period, no more than three dogs may be allowed to gather together, and dogs must be kept on 3-5′ leashes.… Read the rest
